While Transformers director Michael Bay plans 14 more Transformers 'stories,' the Bumblebee spin-off just gained a bit more momentum.
According to a report from Hollywood Reporter, John Cena will be taking the lead role in the Bumblebee movie do to release in 2018. The Bumblebee spin-off is set in a small Californian beach town in 1987, where Bumblebee decided to make a home in a junkyard. Bumblebee is found by 'Charlie' (aka Cena's co-star Hailee Steinfeld), who quickly discovers that Bumblebee isn't your regular VW bug.
In addition to Cena and Bumblebee, the film will star Hailee Steinfeld, Jorge Lendeborg, Jason Drucker, Abby Quinn, Rachel Crow, Ricardo Hoyos and Gracie Dzienny.
