Sword Art Online, the popular Anime where MMO players are stuck in a virtual world and must fight to survive it, has had a few games releases already, but none here in the US. Bandai Namco is changing that finally with the release of Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragments for the PS Vita later this year.
Unfortunately the game wasn't playable at Bandai Namco's Global Gamers Day event, but we did get to see it in action. The game will allow players to step into the shoes of Kirito, the main protagonist of the show, but allow players to customize both his looks and his name.
Players will have to traverse multiple floors of Aincrad (the main dungeon of SAO) clearing dungeons and defeating enemy bosses. The game will also have an online element where you can team up with four other players, with each one having an AI companion.
The game is currently slated for a Summer 2014 release without an exact release date.
