SWTOR downtime results in free day of play

After some unexpected "extended maintenance" today, BioWare is offering all active Star Wars: The Old Republic subscribers a full day of game time as compensation.

Following some maintenance, certain areas of the game were reverted to pre-Game Update 1.2 status; some areas were "missing" and characters that were in those areas were made unavailable.

It looks as if the issues have been resolved, but not without a little reward for the players who showed some patience during this time.

The SWTOR 1.2 Legacy update went live yesterday introducing a new Warzone, Flashpoint, and Operation, as well as the much-awaited Legacy system.  A last minute decision, however, delayed the implementation of Ranked Warzones.
