Sylvester Stallone joins Kurt Russell in Guardians of the Galaxy 2

As much as I want a sequel to Tango & Cash, I guess I'll have to settle for Stallone and Russell on screen together in another way. Recent reports indicate that Sylvester Stallone has been cast for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and will play one of the Ravagers.

According to HeroicHollywood, Stallone has already filmed some scenes for his role but would not elaborate for fear of spoilers. They did confirm, however, that he was a Ravager, which is the group that kidnapped Peter Quill (Starlord) from Earth as a small child. The role will reportedly be a cameo with the other small role confirmed as Kurt Russell, who is playing Starlord's father. There hasn't been too many leaks revealed yet for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but we do know from a recent photo that Mantis will most likely be making an appearance as well.

Although the first film sold well, it ended up doing so out of expectations and ended up being a pretty underwhelming movie in the end. Do you think the addition of Stallone and Russell could boost the sequel? Let us know.
