Take a break from the Destiny’s Iron Banner with Trials of Osiris

I know we're in the middle of the Iron Banner, but just felt the need to remind you all that Destiny's other PvP event — Trials of Osiris — is back open for the weekend.

So if you want to take a break from the Iron Banner rep grinding and want to test your winning streak, head on over to Brother Vance to pick up your Trials Passage. For those unfamiliar, the Trials Passage acts as your scorecard for Trials of Osiris, tracking your wins and losses throughout the event. The more wins you rack up before losing three matches, the better your reward.

Like Iron Banner, level advantages are enabled, so your gear will matter. However, unlike Iron Banner, to participate in Trials of Osiris, you must have an already pre-made team of three players, as matchmaking is limited to only finding enemy teams.

This weekend, Trials of Osiris will be held on the Widow's Court map located in the European Dead Zone on Earth. "Widow's Court is an asymmetrical map with both long sightlines and cramped interiors, supporting short and long-range strategies," the description reads. Plan accordingly.

Trials of Osiris is a weekend-only event, and will run from today, Friday, June 5th and run through the Weekly Reset on Tuesday, June 9th. For those who need a little help, we've put together a guide on how to succeed in Trials of Osiris. Yes, skill still matters, but here are a few tips that could help you in your quest.
