It seems as if the teases and rumors regarding Mafia 3 will finally be coming to an end. First we had the casting call by Take-Two last year that had all the makings of a Mafia game on it which was then followed up by a teaser tweet by one of the game's actors citing more news soon. All this had many believing that an E3 reveal was a sure thing but unfortunately that never happened. Earlier today, a NEOGAF user spotted a new listing showing four domain names registered by Take 2: mafia3thegame, mafiaiiithegame, mafia3 and mafiathreethegame. All of the domains were of the ".com" variety and show official registration dates of June 25th, 2015.
Now, since that date is post-E3 and domain names are not usually registered until once official development has begun on a game, this could mean that a Gamescom reveal is in the works. Mafia 2 released back on August 24th, 2010 on both PS3 and Xbox 360 and has sold approximately 1.45 million units worldwide since launch. Hopefully, we'll hear more information soon as we close in on Gamescom.
