Interactive Software, Inc. Commences Development of Hidden and Dangerous 2 for
the PC

 

Take-Two
Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ:TTWO) today announced that it commenced the
development of Hidden and Dangerous 2, the sequel to the critically acclaimed
PC game Hidden and Dangerous. Hidden and Dangerous 2 will be published by
Godgames, a subsidiary of Take-Two, and developed by Illusion Softworks. It is
expected that Hidden and Dangerous 2 will be released in the fall of 2001.

 

The
original Hidden and Dangerous, available for both PC and Sega Dreamcast, sold
over 500,000 units worldwide. Hidden and Dangerous received critical acclaim
and numerous awards throughout the US and Europe, including PC Gamer’s –
Game of the Month Award and PC Gaming World’s top honor – The Essential Game
Award.

Hidden
and Dangerous 2 is a first and third person tactical shooter that builds upon
the tremendous success of its predecessor. With its unique blend of action,
strategy and tactics, Hidden and Dangerous 2 will test gamers’ commanding
skills, with more than 20 complex missions over nine different campaigns.
Individual operations take place in locations throughout the world, from the
lush jungles of Burma to the harsh deserts of Africa. Hidden and Dangerous 2
will feature multiplayer modes including Cooperative and Deathmatch play, with
the option to play as Axis forces.
