Taken 2’s box office success could lead to Taken 3

It's all about money when it comes to Hollywood and because of the box office success of the recently released Taken 2, screenwriter Robert Mark Kamen has come out and said there is a possibility of a Taken 3.

"We didn't start talking about [Taken 3] until we saw the numbers," Kamen told Hollywood.com, confirming Hollywood cares only about ticket sales.

"But then we said, 'Oh, OK. I think we should do a third one.' And Fox wants us to do a third one."

Of course they do! Taken 2, despite its recycled plotline Taken 2 has earned over $100 million globally. But how would the story continue? Even Kamen recognizes the plot can't be the same for the third film.

"How many times can she be take?" He asked. "It's bad parenthood after that. Taken 3 is going to go in another direction. Should be interesting."

In GameZone's review of Taken 2, writer Joe Donato summed up the film: "The reasons to enjoy Taken 2 are much different and much less intentional than the reasons presented by the first film. That said, this incessantly stupid action movie is a delight in the right context."
