Tales from the Borderlands details coming at SXSW

The first details for Telltale Games' next episodic adventure, Tales from the Borderlands, will be revealed during a panel at the SXSW Gaming Expo. First announced at VGX in December of last year, not much is known about Telltale's new take on Gearbox Software's popular Borderlands franchise. Hopefully that changes on March 8.

According to a press release, the two partnering studios will unveil the first details surrounding Tales from the Borderlands, which will be available for download later this year.

"Learn how the two studios came together, see the first glimpses of how this story will be told, and ask your burning questions about what might be in store in this new tale set on the ruthless, greedy, and unpredictable world of Pandora," the teaser reads.

Included in the panel are Gearbox President Randy Pitchford, Borderlands 2 writer Anthony Burch, Borderlands franchise director Matthew Armstrong, Telltale Games President Kevin Bruner and designer Harrison Pink. The panel will be moderated by Nerdist Network's The Indoor Kids, Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon.

The Tales from the Borderlands panel will be held on Satudsay, March 8, 2014, at 5:30pm on the Geek Stage at the SXSW Gaming Expo.
