Tales of Xillia 2 is coming to North America on August 19th

Good news, everyone! By everyone, I mean PS3 owning JRPG fans. Though I guess if you're a JRPG fan, you probably own a PS3. If that's the case, then I should tell you about your good news!

Tales of Xillia 2 will be released on August 19th here in North America. It's been over 17 months since the game originally released in Japan back in November of 2012. Critical reception was pretty positive, so fans should have something to look forward to this summer.

In an attempt to sweeten the pot, a Collector's Edition for the game was also announced. While we don't have a price point yet, we do have a list of everything being offered:

  • Ludger Kresnik Figure
  • Elle's Pocket Watch Replica Compact
  • Rolo Plush Charm
  • Tales of Xillia 2 Music CD Selection and Art Book
  • Classic Tales of Costume DLC (Yuri Lowell, Emil Castagnier, Asbel Lhant

All of this Tales took has me really wanting to play more games in the series. Maybe I should run out and finally purchase a PS3. I know, I know, shame on me; you don't need to remind me of such a travesty. I'm pretty afraid of that Sony back log, though…
