Tarantino’s new film, The Hateful Eight, announces a panel at SDCC

We haven’t seen a whole heck of a lot of Tarantino’s new film, The Hateful Eight. Since its initial announcement at the end of 2013 it’s undergone cancellation, novelization, reconsideration and now it’s a movie again, opening in 70mm theaters at the end of this year, with standard theaters to follow.

Tarantino’s oeuvre is stocked with entries that are gore filled, subversive and feature and ensemble casts and The Hateful Eight seems to be no different. Set in Wyoming during the Reconstruction Era, the film boasts a cast of Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh and others. The first trailer that has already been released is fairly minimalist and only gives scant introduction to the characters we’re going to see.

However, the team is going to be doing a panel at this coming San Diego Comic Con on July 11th in Hall H, so we’re sure to get an even clearer picture of what we’re in for.

Until then, we can sit back and gawk at how insane/awesome Kurt Russell looks in the set pictures that have begun to leak out.
