Tay Tay Swift actually won’t be joining X-Men: Apocalypse

It would have been terrible and perfect at the same time but alas, Tay Tay Swift, collector of friends and cats and bad blood, will not be playing Dazzler in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse film.

Rumors of this started following backstage photos of James McAvoy, Sophie Turner, Nicholas Hoult and Rose Byrne (all actual cast members) posing with Taylor following a concert in Montreal. Dazzler, a sparkly mutant chanteuse who encompassed everything about 80’s American comic books, was basically the Taylor Swift of the Marvel crowd.

However, despite even screenwriter/producer Simon Kinberg agreeing that it wouldn’t have been a bad idea, the group was only there to see the concert and the photos were the result of them being invited backstage. "There’s nothing to it…After I saw those things I was like oh, that’s kind of interesting, but no, we were actually just there for her concert."
