Team Fortress 2 “Uber Update” Reveals More

On Tuesday, Valve revealed some more information about the so-called “Uber update.” This highly anticipated update is said to be “the biggest, most ambitious update in the history of Team Fortress 2.”

Timbuk Tuesday revealed two new character models. The Sniper and The Demoman are each getting an Arabian makeover, with new weapons and accessories to complement their new looks.

The Sniper, nicknamed Lawrence of Australia, gets a new sniper rifle and a new sword called the Shahanshah, which grants a 25% increase in damage when health is below 50%. The rifle is called the Bazaar Bargain and provides charges per second on each consecutive hit.

The Demoman, nicknamed One Thousand and One Demoknights, is equipped with a new shield, a sword, and Ali Baba’s Wee Booties–providing an increase in max health when worn.

Overall, this was a nice followup to Mobster Monday. For those of you who haven’t experienced Team Fortress 2, I suggest you try it. It is free to play this week. For more details about Valve’s Uber Update you can click here.
