The more I see of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, the more I'm becoming a believer. The first trailer of Michael Bay's sequel didn't completely turn me off, and now I'm actually starting to dig it.
Maybe it's because with each teaser and trailer the sequel to 2014's CGI action flick is seeming more and more like an homage to the classic '80s take on the heroes in a half shell that I grew up with.
With TMNT: Out of Shadows we're already getting Casey Jones (Stephen Amell) as well as two of the comic's iconic villains, Bebop and Rocksteady. But in yesterday's "Big Game" trailer, we were introduced to another — the inter-dimensional villain Krang.
Despite how you feel about all the CGI and occasional cheeseball dialogue, it's hard not to get excited about seeing my favorite childhood characters in a live-action rendition on the big screen. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows is set to hit theaters on June 3, 2016.
