Tekken Tag Tournament 2: Wii U Edition is Zelda-fied

Namco Bandai is prepping to release Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for the Wii U. That version, dubbed the Wii U Edition, will feature some unique gameplay mechanics not seen in the other iterations of the game.

We've all seen the Mario elements sprinkled in the fighting game so far. Super mushroom, anyone? Namco Bandai is apparently also adding some other Nintendo attributes to the Wii U's upcoming fighter.

The company has released screens showing off the Link and Zelda costumes that will appear in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. They look pretty strange, but I've always felt that fighting games need to be crazy. So seeingĀ  characters running around and brawling while dressed as Link and Zelda, while odd, is a nice touch.

Check out the screens and see what you think for yourself. Personally, I love that odd awkwardness. Now if only we can get a Toad costume in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. That would be so rad!
