TellTale confirms that Poker Night 2 is legit and coming this month

Telltale isn’t joking around on this April Fools’ Day, or are they? Today, the developer behind 2012’s Game of the Year, both at the Video Game Awards and here on GameZone, announced that their next game is a sequel to one of their most popular hits, TellTale Games’ Poker Night, with Poker Night 2. Oh yeah, and it’s releasing this month on Xbox LIVE Arcade, PSN, PC and Mac.

According to TellTale, the game will feature characters from offbeat movies, cartoons, and games, with the table starred by the likes of Claptrap from Borderlands, Sam from Sam & Max, Ash Williams from the Evil Dead movies, and Brock Samson from The Venture Bros. animated series, with the beloved GLaDOS from Portal as the dealer. It’s also been confirmed that playing the game will earn you other rewards outside the title itself, including Avatar items and skins for Borderlands 2.

While it’s justifiable to be hesitant with any game announcement on April Fools’ Day, TellTale has confirmed to the Official Xbox Magazine that the game is indeed real, and is coming sometime this month. They also released artwork for the game, which can be seen below:
