Telltale offers The Walking Dead season pass to certain 4GB Xbox 360 owners

I think we can all agree that as good as Telltale's The Walking Dead game is, it does suffer from a few optimization issues. I played it on the PlayStation 3 and experienced freezing and lag, but I still enjoyed the game. Apparently, certain Xbox 360 owners have it worse, reporting freezing, stuttering gameplay, and in some cases a complete reset back to episode one.

Developer Telltale Games has addressed the issue and will offer a free code for the entire Season Pass to those affected by performance issues on the 4GB Xbox 360. After investigating the issue of severe "hitching", or gameplay interrupted by freezing or stuttering, Telltale has determined it only affects users with the Xbox 360 4GB models not fitted with an internal hard disk drive, playing the disc-based retail version of the game.

"This issue does NOT affect Xbox 360s fitted with an internal hard disk drive or Xbox 360 4GB (no internal hard disk drive) users playing the digital version of the game downloaded from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace," they assured users.

Installing an internal hard disk drive compatible with your console will resolve the issue, but if you are unable to do so, Telltale will supply you with codes to download all five episodes of The Walking Dead Season One from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace at no charge. After filling out a Claim Redemption Form and confirming proof of purchase, download codes and instructions will be sent to you.

"We value our customers and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused," Telltale said.
