Telltale's The Walking Dead season 3 will be out later this year according to CEO Kevin Bruner.
In a recent interview with Mashable, Bruner spoke about the challenges of incorporating new players into season 3 as well as carrying over two seasons of options. He mentions that since they did not have the cloud option in season 1, it will be slightly difficult, but they are able to do it.
"The way that we're dealing with and validating and retaining all those different playthroughs is really cool and unexpected and, I think, pretty innovative from the storytelling point of view."
Bruner also noted that the story line will be integrated into the first two seasons, but in a way that doesn't alienate new players from coming in without playing those seasons
"It allows people who maybe haven't people who maybe haven't played [the first two seasons] to come in and get up to speed really quickly. But it definitely respects, honors and facilitates all of the various end points that Season 2 had."
We will hear more official details this Summer at Comic-Con International with a premiere later this year. As usual, it will release on standard Telltale platforms. What do you think? Were you fans of the first two seasons? Let us know
