We already know there is going to be a second season of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead. Don't worry, I won't spoil exactly how the first season ended, but let's just say it was left open for a number of directions the studio can go. Just don't expect to see it anytime soon as Telltale confirmed it still "a way off." Although, the anticipated wait for it may not be as painful as originally thought. Speaking to IGN, writer Gary Whitta hinted at some extra Walking Dead content that may be released before season two actually arrives.
“You won’t have to wait for season two to play more Walking Dead,” Whitta said. There’s not much to say because it really is very early…it’s a way off."
"But, knowing that it’s a way off, and knowing that people are hungry for more Walking Dead…there may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two," he teased. "We may have a little something extra for you between season one and two.”
Whitta assured that whatever is in the works — and something definitely is — it will make the wait for season two "slightly less agonizing."
If you've already played season one of The Walking Dead, what would you like this bonus content to be? I'd personally like to see it bridge the gap between the two seasons, but it's hard to predict without fully knowing what season two will entail.
