What might have been the least advertised sequel to date, Temple Run 2 has managed to rack up a record breaking amount of downloads in just 13 days. The app has been downloaded over 50 million times on iOS, Android and Kindle devices combined. It's impressive since the original has been downloaded 170 million times, and Temple Run 2 is already almost 1/3 caught up in just 13 days.
“Temple Run has evolved into something so much bigger than us,” says Keith Shepherd, co-founder of Imangi. “The game has performed beyond our wildest dreams, and we are thrilled that gamers and fans have embraced Temple Run 2 in such a short period of time.”
However the single most impressive aspect of Temple Run 2s climb to 50 million is that Angry Birds Space because the fastest growing mobile game with 50 million downloads in 35 days.
