TERA: Rising now has over 1.4 million North American players since going free-to-play

The reported numbers just keep getting better for TERA: Rising, the free-to-play rebranding of En Masse Entertainment's MMO TERA. Just one week after announcing over 500,000 new users have registered for TERA: Rising, En Masse has now revealed that number has jumped to over 1.4 million North American player accounts since its switch in February.

“We’ve been blown away by the waves of players logging into TERA, and we’re seeing amazing growth in both registrations and daily users. It’s always great to eclipse the one-million-player mark, and at our current rate, it won’t be long before we hit two million,” said Chris Lee, CEO of En Masse Entertainment. “This success is pushing En Masse even harder to deliver more content and improve our service, so stay tuned!”

En Masse is celebrating the success with a new five-day event, Dracloths Rising. During this event, March 20 through March 24, players will be tasked with hunting big-ass monsters for special drops and prizes. These monsters will appear all over the world of TERA. Future updates, scheduled for summer 2013, include a 20-person raid, an expansive 20v20 battleground, and the introduction of a player-driven alliance system.
