Terra Battle to get online co-op mode with brand new gameplay features

Characters by Yoshitaka Amano incoming as well

Terra Battle, Hironobu Sakaguchi's latest mobile masterpiece from his studio, Mistwalker, has gained a lot of traction since its release. It's easily one of the most 'game-like' mobile games out there, requiring a lot of strategy to master.

The game has just surpassed it's 1.5 million download milestone, and commemorating that will be new characters from famed Final Fantasy artist, Yoshitaka Amano.

However, one of the coolest new additions will be the new co-op mode, which will allow two players to help each other out during missions. Check out the details below.

Key features include:

  • Multiplayer Gameplay – Players can work together with friends and other online users to clear a stage. After completing a stage through the Friend Room, both players will receive one free "Energy;" Co-op players can also clear story mode dungeons and co-op specific dungeons.
  • Summons – By clearing co-op dungeons, players will have a chance to obtain summons. During their friend's turn, the other player can tap the screen to fill out their Summon gauge; once full, they can activate their summoned monster during their next turn. By collecting a specific number of special items, players can also level up their individual summons.
  • New Characters – Additional "adventurers" designed by Terra Battle illustrator Kimihiko Fujisaka will also be introduced in the latest update.

The Co-op update isn't dated yet, but it's coming soon.
