Terraria: Collector’s Edition announced for retail release

Indie exploration-adventure game Terraria is headed to stores as a collector's edition for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Publisher 505 Games announced the special version today. It includes the game, a pickaxe USB flash drive, vellum stickers, and a crafting poster. Xbox 360 owners will receive a game disc, but those hoping to play on PlayStation 3 have to settle for a PlayStation Network download card — which sort of defeats the purpose of a physical edition.

Terraria features both single-player and split-screen multiplayer on consoles. Re-Logic's game started on PC and is also headed to PlayStation Vita, phones, and tablets.
