I know next-gen is supposed to be all about the graphics and power, but sometimes you just need a reminder of your more simplistic gaming roots. Thankfully, Ubisoft and The Tetris Company have announced a partnership to bring the the iconic Tetris franchise to Xbox One and PS4. Let's be honest, we could all use a little more Tetris in our lives.
“We’re very excited to start working with this world-renowned brand, and can’t wait to combine Ubisoft’s expertise and all the capacities of next-gen consoles to create an exciting new Tetris experience for fans,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.
“We welcome Ubisoft to the Tetris family. I am 100% sure they will develop one of the best versions of the Tetris game ever,” added The Tetris Company managing director Henk B. Rogers.
No release date or any actual details — like if there will be any special next-gen changes — were shared. So to recap: Tetris is coming to Xbox One and PS4… sometime. That's about all we know.
