A couple of years ago, we got our first look at That Dragon, Cancer, a game that what was then an Ouya exclusive. That Dragon, Cancer is an emotional tale that details the experiences of Ryan and Amy Green's experience raising their son Joel, a 4 year-old who was fighting his third year of terminal cancer.
The object of the game is not for the player to solve problems, but to simply be present in each moment. The game is more of a story than what you'd call a traditional game. Joel Evan Green, the little boy who's the inspiration for That Dragon, Cancer, passed away on March 13, 2014.
After Joel's death, Ryan chose to continue developing the project and even shifted its direction. That Dragon, Cancer is set to release on January 12th for the PC, MAc, Ouya and ForgeTV.
