The Xbox One version of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 video game has been delayed indefinitely, or may not possibly release at all, according to a statement from Activision.
Following the discovery of the removal of Xbox One as a possible platform (via NeoGAF), Activision sent an official statement to MCV regarding the game's status on Microsoft's platform. Unfortunately, no reason for the delay was given.
“We want to inform you that we are revising our release plans for ASM2 on Xbox One,” the publisher said. “When and whether [Amazing Spider-Man 2] is released on Xbox One is TBD.”
It's worth pointing out that retailers like Amazon and GameStop are still taking pre-orders for the game. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will, meanwhile, realease on PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, 3DS, and PC on April 29.
