Looks like Xbox One owners will be able to play The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on release day after all. Following the game's indefinite delay for the system two weeks ago, it's actually listed as releasing today on the Xbox One Store in the United States. Though we haven't tested it, a number of Xbox One owners are claiming to have already purchased, downloaded and playing the Xbox One version.
What's odd is that other retailers, like Amazon and GameStop still list the Xbox One game as coming out on July 1. We've reached out to Activision for clarification on the whole release debacle.
In the meantime, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will absolutely release today on PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U, 3DS, and PC.
