The Amazing Spider-Man game to release on June 26th

A new Amazing Spider-Man video game trailer unveiling the first villain Spider-Man will face has revealed that the game will release on June 26th, 2012 in the United States.

It will launch on June 29th in Europe, according to the European trailer.

The new trailer introduces fans to classic Marvel Super Villain, Rhino, who will square off against You Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.

But this might not be the Rhino you're used to.  This is a new, reimagined version of Rhino created specifically for The Amazing Spider-Man video game and will not be seen in the theatrical film.

The Amazing Spider-Man game is being developed by Beenox, the same studio responsible for Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time. As a tie-in with the upcoming movie, the game takes place after the movie's events and is expected to be released this summer on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo 3DS.

This free-roaming game, set in Manhattan, sees the return of side missions, challenges, and mini-games, as well as an all new Web Rush mechanic giving players "real-time navigational and combat choices" that can be triggered on the fly.

Check back later for more details on Rhino.
