The Arrow/Flash spinoff casts Rip Hunter and Hawkgirl

The Arrow/Flash crossover spinoff doesn't have a title yet, but it will be taking existing characters from both Arrow and Flash, will add some new characters and is being produced by the same producer of the two shows, Andrew Kreisberg with help from Greg Berlanti (The Flash).

What characters from the two shows will be in the spinoff? Brandon Routh, as Ray Palmer/The Atom from Arrow, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold from The Flash, and Caity Lotz from Arrow (even though her character was killed off).

British actor Arthur Darvill, who played as Rory Williams – one of the Eleventh Doctor's companions, will take the role of Rip Hunter. Created by JAck Miller and Ruben Moreira, Rip Hunter is a DC Comics character that first made an appearence in 1959 and has since undergone a number of revisions. It is unclear which version the show will take from, but he will use his time travelling ability.

Ciara Renee has been cast as Kendra Saunders — Hawkgirl. In the show, Saunders will be awakening to her ancient warrior abilities and slowly coming to terms with the fact that she was reincarnated through the centuries.

The Arrow/Flash spinoff is looking to premiere next midseason.
