The Assassins Creed movie scheduled to release this winter has not even received its first trailer, but that didn’t stop the studio from giving the green light for its sequel.
According to The Tracking Board, the second Assassins Creed movie is currently in the works and will see main star Michael Fassbender reprise his role. The movie will not be an iteration from any of the past games, but rather a separate story of main Assassin Lynch and Aguliar based in the Assassin's Creed universe, similar to the first film.
Unlike the games, however, the movie won't be "crazy violent," according to Fassbender.
“We’re not trying to make it too crazy violent,” said Fassbender, “although obviously there is an element of that, but what is really cool is that our action sequences are on real sets and real locations.”
Hopefully, the first trailer will drop soon to give fans some sort of idea how the movie is going to look.
The Assassin's Creed movie is set to release on December 21, 2016 in the U.S., followed by a worldwide release on December 26.
