With Gen Con kicking off today, indie developer Stoic, miniature board game creator MegaCon Games, and indie publisher Versus Evil have teamed up to reveal The Banner Saga: Warband, a miniatures board game based on the critically-acclaimed tactical role-playing game The Banner Saga.
Unfortunately, that's about all we know, as no details about the game were shared. Production on The Banner Saga: Warband is already underway, but it looks like htere are plans to support it further with a Kickstarter campaign.
MegaCon Games is currently at Gen Con Indy this week, so if you plan on attending the annual tabletop/board gaming convention, hit them up and see if you can get some details.
A video game sequel to The Banner Saga was announced in December 2014, and is set for release in 2015. It's unclear if the newly announced Warband board game will have any impact or tie-in with the video games, aside from the themes, obviously.
