That one of the most iconic sci-fi movies, Blade Runner, will be getting a sequel is old news but no one has been known the title, until now.
Instead of calling it "Blade Runner 2 with Ryan Gosling" we now got the official title to call it by, Blade Runner 2049, and as you might have guessed the film takes place thirty years after the original, which was set in 2019. Adding thirty extra might be a smart move since Ridley Scott's dystopian depiction of 2019 Los Angeles looks nothing like the real thing.
Besides the newly revealed name, there is really not much else to say about the upcoming Blade Runner 2049 because they haven't revealed anything. But with Blade Runner 2049 being only a year away we'll probably get to know a thing or two in the months leading up to release.
Blade Runner 2049 is scheduled for release on October 6, 2017.
