The Blob will be making a comeback in X-Men: Apocalypse

Benjamin Malartre Burue, a comic enthusiast, visited the set of X-Men: Apocalypse and left with quite a bit of information on just who would appear on on screen. It turns out that a character from X-Men Origins: Wolverine is making a comeback in the film that will mark the end of several contracts for many beloved characters.

After four days on set, Burue walked away with the information Fred J. Dukes would be in the film. If you can’t recall, Dukes was known as The Blob in Wolverine. This time he won’t be played by Kevin Durant, but by a Montreal local who is 540-pounds – meaning that this time they won’t be using the CGI rendered version like they did in Wolverine. The Blob might be simply making a cameo in the film or he could play a supporting role, it has yet to be revealed.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to release on May 27, 2016.
