The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 surpasses Kickstarter goal

The new Kickstarter for adventure game sequel The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 met its target goal of $65,000 in 30 hours.

Developer King Art announced the good news on Kickstarter today. So far, the crowdfunding campaign has raised nearly $72,000 in two days. That puts it well on the path to its stretch goals.

At $95,000, King Art plans to introduce side quests and outfits. At $145,000, it will work on an orchestra recording and behind-the-scenes material, and at $235,000, it will introduce a director's cut. The developer has 38 more days to reach those goals.

The money raised so far enables King Art to deliver enhanced and Kickstarter versions of the game as well as employ a projection-mapping technique for all in-game locations, which enables it to move the camera more dynamically through scenes.

The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 is a sequel to King Art's 2009 adventure game.
