I don't quite know what the 'bumps gonna goose ya' means, but Jack Black's new pop-rap music video, created specially for the upcoming Goosebumps movie, is pretty fun. Sure, it's cheesey, but as a film inspired by a series of books released in the 90s, I wouldn't have it any other way.
You see, for you millenials out there, youth-targeted movies back in the day used to come with corny, but catchy rap songs. Will Smith was one of the pioneers with not just Men in Black, but Wild Wild West as well. And, of course, we had MC Hammer's "Addams Groove" and Vanilla Ice's "Ninja Rap."
With R.L. Stine's fantastical stories coming to life in the new Goosebumps movie, it seems only fitting it gets the same 90's treatment.
Goosebumps opens in theaters on October 16th.
