2K Games has released a new trailer for its rebranded strategy shooter The Bureau: XCOM Declassified. Revealed back in April, The Bureau is set in 1962 at the height of the Cold War and tells the origin story of the XCOM organization's first encounter with a "mysterious and devastating enemy."
Today's trailer briefly recaps that, blacking out certain elements — like who led the division — which we already know from the previous reveal. For instance, we know that the operation is being led by special agent William Carter who you will control during the game, among the other agents that accompany you on missions.
The best thing about the video, however, is that it gives us our first look at The Bureau's gameplay. As you can see, it's still very much a third-person shooter, though it seems you'll be closer to the action than ever before.
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified is due out on August 20, 2013 for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. It is being developed by 2K Marin.
