The CW reveals the first look at Impulse for ‘The Flash’ season 3

The CW network has revealed the first look at Keiynan Lonsdale as Wally West's costume for Impulse (aka Kid Flash) on 'The Flash' season three.

The CW's The Flash has been pretty thorough when it comes to world-building for a pre-Crisis DC universe. They've managed to introduce heroes and villains that fans never thought would make it onto the show, so much so that a good amount of the Justice League's roster has been established, allowing for a constant flow of prolific story-telling. The DC universe is riddled with superpowerful beings wielding the power of the "Speed Force", the extra-dimensional energy source that grants The Flash and other "speedsters" their abilities.

Last season, one character was introduced that fans could see coming from a mile away: Wally West. Without diving too deep into spoiler territory, Wally West has a very close relationship to Barry Allen and is eventually struck with a similar partical accelerator blast that gave Barry his powers, along with Dr. Wells' daughter, Jesse. Now, it seems the event will come to fruition as it should with Wally meeting his destiny as the newest speedster, Impulse aka Kid Flash. A recent tweet from The CW unveils Wally's suit from the upcoming season three premiere:

There's been no confirmation as to whether or not Jesse Wells will eventually don her speedster mantle as Jesse Quick, but it certainly seems likely considering both her and Wally were in the same explosion, assuming of course that the event is what gives him his abilities.
