The Division pre-load now available

Ubisoft sends out The Division beta keys

Check your emails, folks, because Ubisoft has confirmed that emails with Tom Clancy's The Division beta keys have been sent.

As a reminder, anyone who pre-ordered the game should have received a code that provides guaranteed access to the beta. If you have yet to receive your email, don't worry, as Ubisoft is likely sending out the keys in waves to ensure the servers aren't overloaded with people attempting to pre-load.

Once you do receive your beta key, you should be able to begin pre-loading. This should give you ample time to download the rather large beta, which checks in on PlayStation 4 around 25GB. The PC version seems to be a bit larger at 26GB.

While the exact contents of the beta are still a mystery, Ubisoft says you'll be able to play through the "early story-driven missions that establish your foothold in New York," as well as experience the PvP-enabled Dark Zone. Yes, the beta is your chance to test and experience a pre-release of the highly anticipated game before it launches, but it allows Ubisoft to ensure the game is balanced and that the servers are tested for a smooth launch.

Tom Clancy's The Division beta will be playable on Xbox One on January 28, a full day earlier than PS4 and PC (Jan. 29). The beta is scheduled to end on January 31 for all platforms.
