Back in June, Bethesda revealed the latest Elder Scrolls game in development at ZeniMax, The Elder Scrolls Legends. While there weren't many details revealed at the time, it was announced that Legends would be a competitive card game for mobile devices.
According to recent reports from Bethesda's Vice President of Marketing, Pete Hines, Legends has been delayed. Hines revealed that the game was playable, but unpolished – which resulted in the delay. If delaying the game wasn't enough, reports of layoffs at the developer studio have been coming in as well.
Connacht Tribune is reporting that ZeniMax has essentially closed a customer support center from the Elder Scrolls Online, causing 300 jobs to be lost. If this sounds familiar, it's because it is. The Connacht Tribune appears to be reporting on news from September, where more layoffs had hit the studio following major layoffs from the previous year.
Due to the delay in reporting this, the article has been used as a source elsewhere causing people to believe there were layoffs. Again, this is old news.
Update: ZeniMax has announced that it is in fact old news.
So for now, the real news here is that Legends has been delayed.
