It's unfortunate that many games today don't replicate the action shown off in the coinciding cinematic trailers. Nevertheless, these videos continue to tease of what could be. But more importantly, "what could be" is also determined by you, the gamer, in beta tests. After all, that is why developers hold beta tests — for you to provide feedback and suggestions, and bring bugs to their attention.
Which brings me to today's announcement from Bethesda and ZeniMax Online Studios. Beta signups for the highly anticipated MMO The Elder Scrolls Online are now open. You can head over to the game's official website and register for a chance to play — and shape — one of the most anticipated games of the year. Timing and details of the beta playtests will be provided at a later date to those who register.
“We’re really excited to get the game into players’ hands,” said Matt Firor, game director of The Elder Scrolls Online. “We receive invaluable feedback through the beta process, and that helps us ensure that the game will be one of the best online gaming experiences ever offered — one worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise.”
It's highly unlikely your feedback will result in the stunning cinematic above, but at least you can play an important role in shaping The Elder Scrolls Online which is set to release in 2013 for PC and Mac.
