The ZeniMax developed and Bethesda published subscription-less MMO, The Elder Scrolls Online Tamriel Unlimited, has officially hit consoles and like any other MMO launch, it is suffering from server issues. Players have been taking to the game's official forums, Reddit, and NeoGaf since the midnight launch, reporting an inability to log on to game servers.
Since the initial reports, ZeniMax has run maintenance on the European PlayStation 4 megaserver and claims to have the server "back online and available."
Within the past hour, we have attempted to log in to North American servers on the PlayStation 4. Initially we were met with login errors, but after persistently trying (for around 20 minutes) we successfully made it onto the server. If you are still suffering errors logging in to the North American servers, forums have found a workaround for getting on:
Simply switch over to the European server, log in to character select, then back out and switch over to North American servers.
From then on you should be able to log in.
Login may be easier at this hour, as some of the player base is at work — the after noon and night might bring more troubles for the servers.
