The PlayStation 4 version of ZeniMax Online Studios' The Elder Scrolls Online MMORPG will have an exclusive beta. Answering a slew of PlayStation fan questions, game director Matt Firor confirmed the beta, but couldn't offer additional details.
"We do not yet have a date or timeframe to share, but we can assure you that there will be an ESO beta exclusively for PlayStation 4 fans later in the year," he said. While he urged fans to keep an eye on the game's official website, GameZone will always keep you updated on the latest beta news.
Bethesda and ZeniMax Online Studios have seemingly been focused on the PC version of the game as that is the first to release on April 4, 2014. The PS4 and Xbox One versions aren't expected to release until June 2014. ZeniMax previously explained that they are doing a staggered rollout as to ensure the servers won't be overloaded at launch. So with a release in June, I expect it'll still be a few more weeks until we start to hear about a PS4 (or Xbox One) beta. But we'll keep our eyes and ears open.
