The Evil Within delayed until October

The Evil Within has been delayed, Bethesda announced today. Originally due out this August, Bethesda's upcoming survival horror, developed by Tango Gameworks, will now be released on October 21, 2014. It's coming to Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

Developed by Shinji Mikami — creator of Resident Evil and father of survival horror — The Evil Within looks to scare the crap out of players with an intricate storyline involving the investigation of a gruesome mass murder. In the game, you play as Detective Sebastian Castellanos who finds himself in a deranged world where hideous creatures wander among the dead.

We were recently invited to a pre-E3 event hosted by Bethesda where we were able to play two separate parts of The Evil Within's story. Check out our preview here.
