The Evil Within released today, let’s get hyped with the launch trailer

Will The Evil Within live up to its hype? There's only one way to find out, buy it and play it because is just released.

Well, there's actually two ways to find out… You could read our review too, our reviewer Matt Liebl even mentions the hype!

It’s not easy for a game with the name Shinji Mikami attached to it to live up to the hype, but The Evil Within does a nice job of staying true to its roots.

If you're still on the fence on whether or not you want to put time and energy into this game, you better check out this video. It shows off the monsters, the bloodiness, the creepiness and just so much more. In case you were looking for a story trailer, this isn't the video for you — but here's a description from the devs:

In The Evil Within, Detective Sebastian Castellanos and his partners are called in to investigate a gruesome mass murder. After seeing the slaughter of fellow officers, Sebastian is ambushed and knocked unconscious. When he awakens, he finds himself in a deranged world where hideous creatures wander among the dead. Facing unimaginable terror, and fighting for survival, Sebastian embarks on a frightening journey to unravel what’s behind this evil force.

The Evil Within released today on the PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
