The Fallout 4 trailer is finally here! Watch it right now

Bethesda has lifted the curtain and given us our first look at Fallout 4, via an official in-game trailer for highly-anticipated open-world game.

The trailer doesn't reveal too much, but at least confirms that the enxt entry in the franchise will take place in The Commonwealth — the fictional universe's version of Massachusetts — which has been referenced in prior games. In Fallout 3, players encountered a scientist named Dr. Zimmer who's actually from The Commonwealth. In the game, he describes it as a "war-ravaged quagmire of violence in despair," and notes that he and his coworkers created androids that have escaped and are running rampant.

As for the contents of the trailer, well, it shows some pretty impressive next-gen (or current-gen, rather) environments as we switch between the pre- and post-apocalyptic settings, but character models towards the end are pretty disappointing.

Another thing the trailer confirmed is that Fallout 4 will be released for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

While you'll have to tune in to Bethesda's E3 Showcase on Sunday, June 14th to see the world premiere of the game, enjoy the three minute trailer above.
