There's been a lot of uncertainty around Fox's reboot of Fantastic Four. There's been no images, trailers, anything — until today.
Fox released the first trailer for Chronicle director Josh Trank's vision of Fantastic Four, and it looks so much better than those two abominations we got around 2005. The tone is a lot more serious, and it definitely has a Chronicle feel to it. After watching it, I'm nervous to say this, but I'm excited to see Fantastic Four.
Here's the synopsis from Fox:
Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
The cast includes Miles Teller as Mr. Fantastic, Michael B. Jordan as Human Torch, Kate Mara as Invisible Woman, Jamie Bell as Thing, and Toby Kebbell as Dr. Doom.
Fantastic Four releases on August 7, 2015.
