After the departure of Director Seth Grahame-Smith, many fans didn’t know who would direct the upcoming Flash movie, however, it seems like Warner Bros have found their new man.
As Deadline reports, the upcoming Flash movie will be directed by Rick Famuyiwa. The director is mostly known for small time indie films like The Wood, Brown Sugar, and Our Family Wedding, but with him helming the new Flash movie, Famuyiwa has a lot on his plate.
The film will still use the script that Grahame-Smith penned, providing a necessary time to start filming. After the poor performance of Batman v Superman, Warner Bros. decided to slow things down a bit and give their producers some time to flesh out the characters similar to how Marvel handles their heroes.
The two DC films that are up next is Suicide Squad which is set to release this Summer on August 5 and the standalone Wonder Woman film which is set to release next Summer.
The Flash is set to debut in early 2018 on March 16.
