The Flash gets a new suit for season 2

CW has released our first look at the new suit Grant Gustin will be wearing during the second season of The Flash. The new suit calls back to the Barry Allen/The Flash’s suit from the comics that first appeared in Showcase #4 in 1956 (the comic series started in 1940).

The chest plate has been turned from red to white, calling back to the classic suit. Costume designer Maya Mani recreated The Flash’s suit for Season 2. Mani is also the designer that created the new suit that Green Arrow will wear be wearing in the upcoming season, his suit will also resemble the original suit from the comics. Season 2 of The Flash will see Michael Ironside cast as Captain Colds father and former WWE superstar 'Edge' aka Adam Copeland as Atom-Smasher.

Arrow has been making some big moves over on their end as well, they recently cast Echo Kellum in the upcoming season. Both of the shows eventually collide and are getting an entire show dedicated to crossovers that will occur in the shows.

The Flash is set to return for Season 2 on October 6 on The CW at 8PM while Arrow returns the following day on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
