The internet's favorite stormtrooper is about to get his own collectible figure from Hot Toys.
***WARNING: VERY MILD SPOILERS FROM AN AWESOME SCENE IN STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS BELOW***
For those of you who have already seen The Force Awakens, you may recall the one scene in which a pretty badass stormtrooper with a stun baton takes on a lightsaber-wielding Finn. It was a brief scene, which I feel should've been reserved for Captain Phasma, but nonetheless the internet has run wild with this guy — who has been cleverly named "TR-8R" after his breakout moment in which he angrily calls Finn a "traitor" to get his attention.
Despite his rather short screen time, TR-8R has become somewhat of a celebrity among Star Wars geeks, almost in the same vein as Boba Fett from the original trilogy. He kinda looks cool and has a badass moment on screen, that's about it; but, I guess it was enough to warrant an action figure, LEGO figurine, Pop! Vinyl, and now a Hot Toys collector's figurine.
Revealed by the toy company recently, the "First Order Riot Control Stormtrooper" (as he's officially referred to) now comes as a special 1/6th scale collector's set alongside Finn, re-enacting the memorable battle scene.
