The Forza Franchise has passed $1 billion in sales

Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios have announced that the Forza racing franchise has surpassed over $1 billion in retail sales as of the end of 2016.

Phil Spencer commented on the gigantic milestone by saying

Since the beginning, Forza has combined stunning graphics, racing’s leading simulation engine, and an emphasis on fun and accessibility. With the Forza series, Turn 10 Studios has built the world’s largest racing community. We couldn’t be more proud of their success.”

There were a total of 14 million unique players on both Xbox One and Windows 10 as of December 2016, with the most recent Forza Horizon 3 selling 2.5 million units. Forza has been the best selling racing game of this generation and continues its unparalleled success with Microsoft.

The next Forza title should be released later this year, and we'll let you know was we hear more.
